Constantly checking out that hot girl/guy at the gym causes you to lose focus and expend less total calories
Yes, this tip doesn’t sound like a very serious one, but I’d like to urge you to re-look at how much time you’re spending at the gym for each workout. Most people waste time being unproductive at the gym (whether it’s gazing at the opposite sex, gazing at themselves in the mirror, talking on the phone, etc) - and then they wonder why others progress at a much faster rate…
Most people, especially when they work-out with friends, tend to spend too much time resting between sets, and simply idling around the gym. I’m not here to correct how you’re spending your time, but rather, I’d like you to realise that if you haven’t been seeing the results you desire from your workouts lately… it could be the fact that you take things too ‘easy’ at the gym.
I see people spending countless hours at the gym, but yet, they don’t have any results to show - while all of my clients under my care almost always see great results in a short period of time… and we usually only have 1-hour workouts.
Whats my secret? Nothing really - but having a workout plan, staying focused, and timing your rest periods will ensure you make maximum use of your time, keeping your heart rate up, and your body challenged throughout that solid workout session…
